Founded in 1986, DACTEM has historically specialized in the study, design and integration of test and control benches for industrialists and equipment manufacturers in the space and automotive sectors. The company has gradually built solid expertise in the design of complex measurement instruments for extreme environments, and has developed a catalog of standard products to respond with agility to customer demands.
For nearly 20 years, DACTEM has been committed to the field of electric propulsion, particularly in the design of precision mechanical instruments intended to measure the thrust of a satellite plasma propulsion engine. The instrument, operating in spatial thermal vacuum conditions, stands out for its long-term thermal stability and its ability to exceed the client's initial requirements.
In May 2023, DACTEM became DACTEM International after its acquisition by AEROSPAZIO Tecnologie, a world leader in the space sector of electric propulsion testing services and expert in space optics. This change marks a strategic turning point for the company, which wishes to strengthen its role on an international scale and continue to expand its influence in cutting-edge technological sectors.
The same year, the company won the Alès Audace award for its innovative project of a fully automated test center for satellite electric thrusters, thus affirming its commitment to space innovation.
DACTEM offices are located in France, in the Occitanie region, in Alès and Toulouse, at the heart of the European aeronautical and space basin.
